You are responsible for coordinating the start time and team allocation yourself; there is no on-site supervision. You can therefore decide for yourself what time you want to start. The start and finish locations are listed for on our website, you will also receive this information in your email.
Our routes are always near places to eat and drink, so starting with lunch or finishing with a drink is no problem.
Invite your colleagues to come to the start or the café-restaurant around the corner at the agreed time. It’s important that participants fully charge their phones beforehand.
Draw up a team line-up. Teams of around 4 or 5 people usually work best, but smaller or larger groups are also fine – it’s up to you.
Give each team the link and an access code that you received in the email. Share this information with the teams e.g. via WhatsApp or email.
As soon as they have the link and an access code, the first team can get started. They don’t need to install anything. Team members can play on a single phone, or several people within the team can log in on their own phones. Everyone in the team can use the same login code.
For larger groups of more than 15 people, it’s a good idea to have the teams set off at intervals of a few minutes. That way, nobody gets in each other’s way! Usually, the teams then spread out across the city of their own accord. Some teams simply solve the puzzles faster than others.
Catching up with each other during the Outside Escape and solving the same puzzle with multiple teams is no problem. In fact, it can sometimes lead to some fun moments!
During the escape, each team will see the scores of all participating teams displayed on the scoreboard several times. Are you playing with three or more teams? Then the teams can send each other messages and earn extra points that way. Or lose them.
As the organiser, you’ll have access to an overview of all the teams’ progress. You’ll receive details about this in your inbox beforehand.
Would you like to know the exact route of an Outside Escape? Or request a demo? Or do you have any other questions? Send us a message and we’ll be happy to help!
