Organisation instructions

Organising an Outside Escape with multiple teams is easy. These are some guidance tips that can help.

Teams and departure

  • Teams of around 4-5 people work best, but you can also put together larger or smaller groups, depending on your preference. You will coordinate the departure and team formation yourself, there is no on-site supervision.
  • You might want to meet at a restaurant or café before the start, have a drink and let the teams leave from there.
  • Make sure each team has at least one charged phone.
  • Give each team the link and an access code, e.g. via WhatsApp, e-mail or on paper.
  • Have 2-3 teams leave every 5 minutes (10-15 people). The teams will disperse naturally as each team solves the riddles at their own pace. So overtaking each other during the Outside Escape is not a problem.

During the course

  • There is no time limit during the Outside Escape.
  • Consider making a stop for a drink or a snack along the way. You can request the route that the teams walk from us, please email us at info@outsideescape.nl.
  • Everyone in the team can join on their own phone. Simply share the link and access code within the team. Playing using only one phone is fine as well.
  • Should a phone’s battery run out, someone from the team can continue with another phone. Use the same link and access code. After logging in you can continue where you left off. So make sure in advance that several people within the team get the link and access code.
  • In between and afterwards, each team will see the high score with the results of all teams.
  • When playing in the evening, it is useful to bring a good torch.
  • The route is about 2.5 km and takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
